My first attempt at painting was in 1980 experimenting with oil paints. But life was busy. I finally picked it up again in 2023 and have not stopped since. Experimenting with both water and acrylic, I have returned to my favorite medium, oil. The learning curve is long and the oil medium is challenging. By now I have produced close to 100 works. Most are on canvas using sizes of 12” x 16”, 16” x 20” and 18” x 24”. I have no formal training and I learn by observing the works of other artists. When I’m seeking a subject matter to paint l like to push the envelope beyond my comfort level. I prefer landscapes and cityscapes of historical significance from any place on earth and usually include some figures of people or some other life forms. You’ll often find me at Art in the Park in Stratford, Ontario.
